City of art and entertainment, Bologna offers a vast panorama of events, concerts, exhibitions and shows: staying at the SavHotel allows you to reach the EuropAuditorium Theater in 9 minutes by foot and Parco Nord in 5 minutes by car, as well as being connected with the other locations in the area.
For music lovers there are numerous festivals that take place every year in the Learned City, such as the Bologna Sonic Park at the Arena Parco Nord (a stage that has been trodden by great artists such as Iron Maiden and Deep Purple), the Oltre Festival and the Sequoie Music Park, both in the Parco delle Caserme Rosse location, for a more pop and indie audience, but without renouncing outdoor theatrical performances.
Among the most well-known festivals we also find the Bologna Jazz Festival, with international presences from the jazz scene, and the Bologna Festival which offers varied proposals by combining big names and emerging realities.
An egregious spot for music events and much more in the Emilian territory is the Unipol Arena: found in Casalecchio di Reno inside the metropolitan city of Bologna and hosts up to 18 thousand people. Among the artists that decided to use it for their events we find: Eric Clapton, The Cure, Backstreet Boys, Robbie Williams and many other artists of Italian and international music.
In a city of art like Bologna there is no scarcity of theaters: there are more than 20 and between the most famous ones we find the EuropAuditorium Theater, inaugurated in 1975 with the idea of replicating the Sistina Theater in Rome, the Duse Theater, one of the oldest of the city, and the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni, with a strong Art Nouveau style in the historic center.
Among the many events offered, there are also those for cinema enthusiasts such as the Cinema Ritrovato and Biografilm Festival. The first is a festival focused on the history of cinema between classics and
filmography to analyze this form of art from its inception to the present day. Biografilm Festival, on the other hand, took its first steps in 2005 but underwent a remarkable evolution 5 years later when new sections and events were added.
Then there are the art events, temporary exhibitions, permanent collections, combined with major events such as Arte Fiera and Art City Bologna.
