BOLOGNA CITY OF ART AND GASTRONOMIC EXCELLENCES 

Bologna has an artistic, historical and gastronomic heritage that is so extensive that you will have plenty of choice the vast panorama of possible experiences.

Also known as “la Grassa”, for the vast gastronomic proposal, Bologna is the home of many world-famous recipes.

But the city's heritage goes beyond culinary excellence: Bologna is internationally known for its history and for the art it houses in its churches, museums and historic buildings.

THE SYMBOLS OF BOLOGNA 

 Bologna has so many names: other than “la Grassa”, for the culinary delicacies, is also known as “la Dotta”, as it hosts the oldest university of the western world and “ la Rossa”, the typical color of the historical downtown building.

“La Turrita” is definitely coming and it is enough to spend some time in the historic center to see why: in the past, Bologna had more than 150 towers, symbol through which the rich family of the territory represented by its own power.

In addition to the towers, in making Bologna unmistakable there are also the arcades: a piece of Bologna's history under which you can walk while admiring all its beauty, named, in July 2021, as a Unesco World Heritage Site.

And Piazza Maggiore with its “Fontana del Nettuno”, finished in 1566, which joins “Palazzo del Podestà” , “Palazzo Re Enzo” and “Sala Borsa” are the most frequented areas of the tourists that chooses Bologna.
